Volunteer opportunities, networking, being among like-minded women, a chance to improve the lives of women and girls, being a part of a global organization…these are just some of the reasons that women join Soroptimist International of Simi Valley.
What they find once they become members is that they are part of a cohesive, caring group of women whose mission it is to help other women and girls by working together to make a difference. And the formation of new friendships is the bonus!
There are many involvement opportunities as a member. You can become a committee member for events, fundraisers, programs, socials or as a goodwill ambassador, just to name a few. You may find that you’d like to be a Board member or maybe you would simply like to come and enjoy the luncheon/speaker programs.
There is no "typical" Soroptimist - we all have different backgrounds and are at various stages of life. But we share a commitment to bettering the lives of women and girls, building a sisterhood, and having fun while giving back.
